Not one to blow her own trumpet, Royal Marine Bands woman – Elsie Chadd, did battle at this increasingly popular middle distance race. Posting a very respectable sub 6 hour time in 5 56, she was the club’s only representative. She also got top marks for nicely coordinating the clubs colours with her bike frame.
