Rempstone Roast Off Road Duathlon

Paul Mulley headed over to Dorset with his mountain bike for the Rempstone Roast off road duathlon. Taking place on the Rempstone estate, the route consisted of bridleways and forest tracks for the 2.5 mile run – 11.5 mile bike – 2.5 mile run. The recent weather left the course wet underfoot, but Paul managed to make the most from the cold and dry morning showing his consistency with similar run splits. Paul completed the course in 1.23.44.Exeter hosted the latest round of the Westward Cross Country League, which also incorporated the Devon County Championships. The undulating multi-lap course proved a tough challenge accentuated by the muddy conditions. With the ladies completing a 5km course and the men a 9km course there was numerous reports of tired legs.
Four women raced; Naomi Flanagan 21.17, Urszula Donigiewicz 25.01, Davina Cull 27.26, Rachel Carter 28.20.
